Chardonnay du Monde ’13 GOLD (top 50 of 890)
11 Vintage – Chard. du Monde ‘12 GOLD (top 5 of 890)
Jancis Robinson 16.5p
Concours National des Vins ‘13 IGP France GOLD
A rich, brilliant gold robe. The nose is clean and bright, with hints of almonds, white flowers and aniseed. In the mouth it has a fresh attack, and a pleasingly rounded character on the mid palate, with a refreshing “zip” on the finish and aromas of juniper flowers.
Volcanic, clay and limestone soil.
Climate is Mediterranean, warm and sunny with low rainfall. Winters are mild, summers are hot and dry.
NO WEED KILLER
After doing over 80 staff tastings at LCBO stores I have come to realize that it sells so well because of the balance of Oak, not the dominate taste, but part of the complexity of tastes.I am told that even people that don't like Chardonnay, enjoy this wine.
