It’s virtually impossible that this mature, savoury, cedar and quite complex red is only $13. Stick this in a blind...

Another very fine value from Boutari's original outpost in Naoussa, which delivers complexity and depth well above...

Always earthy and peppery on the nose you also pick up hints of black cherry, liquorice and smoky meaty notes. The...

dry, dusty, red fruit, drying tannins, kind of like a nebbiolo, great for the price!

Hitting well above it's weight, a real value. Dried red fruit, potpouri, herbal notes, touch of oak, with the complexity and tannic strucutre to improve over a few years.

Tasted October 2013.

Mature in appearance, but still very much alive. As noted by JS and DL, this Xinomarvro calls to mind Nebbiolo. Notes of slight tart cherry fruit, dried fruit, and earth. Firmly structured and no trace of oak. An only average finish betrays its modest price point, but this is a delicious red for only $12.95. I only wish I had bought a few bottles. Tasted Feb 2013.
