Made from the Xinomavro variety, this shows solid and quite complex fruit right through the palate. Look for a good fruit-acid balance, a tangy texture, and easy-going tannins. It’s a natural for grilled red meats and, although it’s showing well for a wine more than six years old, drink it during the next year or two. Another Greek wine that takes some time to appreciate, but is well worth it. Reminds me of a Barolo minus some sweetness. Good value, and for once a wine that is ready now.
