A nice introduction to Sherry for those who have yet to try this fortified style. It's a bit like tawny port but thinner with a slight tang. I find that by serving it at room temperature, the wine has a rounder, more full-bodied feel.

This is a great aperitif. It tastes like all the good parts of Christmas cake without the candied fruit (which I hate). The spices and warmth of Christmas come through in the taste. It's not your grandmother's Bristol Cream Sherry.
