The 2014 Bourgneuf is round, supple and expressive, with lovely nuance. Succulent black cherries, plums, smoke, spice and licorice notes blossom effortlessly in the glass. The pliant finish and suave tannins both suggest the 2014 will drink well relatively early, yet it also clearly has the stuffing to develop beautifully in bottle for many years.
