An uncommon, if not outright rare blend of Pinot noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is such a dark violet as to be almost black. The nose is a powerful blend of liquorice and vanilla. Unique blend of tangy liquorice, vanilla, caramel, and violets on the palate that reminds me somewhat of Port. It's a rich full bodied wine with a long satisfying finish. Decant for an hour before drinking.
