Lovely, perfumed old school Barolo from arch-traditionalist Settimo, a grand success in the fine 2010 vintage....

Medium-to-high aromatics featuring lovely exotic flower, red cherry and some earthy notes which echo very nicely on the full-bodied palate. It has mouth-watering acids and some heat on the palate but is balanced well by fruit concentration and tannic structure. Excellent length on the finish. Drinking well now but should be better in 3-4 years and drink easily over the next 12 years. Tasted Sept/2015.
