This is a quite fine, fruit driven, plummy, licorice and vanilla scented port. Not a lot of complexity, but there is...

Medium-intensity aromas with steely, blackberry liquer, dark fruits, kirsch and quite fruit forward. Palate is medium-bodied and medium-sweet with flavours of blackberry, kirsch, and black cherry. It has very good acids and excellent length on the finish. Chill slightly before serving. Tasted Nov/2014

As JS and DL point out, this is a bit rough around the edges at present. However, it has plenty of flavour (dried fruits like prune, raisins), decent complexity and solid depth. It is enjoyable now, but with a little age, this will gain some smoothness. Serve at about 16-17C. Should hold for 5 years or so. Tasted Nov 2014.
