The 2015 Reserva Quinta da Falorca Lagar is a blend of dozens of clones of Touriga Nacional (70%), Alfrocheiro (15%) and Tinta Roriz (15%) aged for 18 months in new French oak. It comes in at 14% alcohol. When you want a Burgundian experience in Portugal, Dão is where you are mostly likely to find it, even without Pinot Noir. Textured, elegant and very sensual, this is a perfectly constructed Reserva that is easy to drink now, but it still has plenty of room for improvement. The tannins are evident now, but they have moderated to a point where this is quite drinkable. As this aired out, it became ever more appealing, acquiring complexity and gravitas. This still has plenty of upside potential if you want to cellar it for a couple of years more. Drink date: 2020-2035. Score - 93. (Mark Squires, robertparker.com, Aug. 31, 2020)
