This Niagara blend includes 31% of the lesser known Chambourcin grape along with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. This is a great winter wine with dark cherry fruit being secondary to earthy leaves, parsnip, tobacco and horse saddle. The wine is surprisingly bright and fresh on the palate with refreshing acidity. Dusty tannins add to this med bodied, beautifully complex, comforting wine. Tasted at WWAC Sept 2013.
