This is 88% shiraz and 12% mourvèdre, and it delivers a big whack of sweet, ripe fruit. But it’s no mindless...

Like most Penfolds Bin reds this is solid and age-worthy. Not particularly tannic or lean now but a bit reserved, and...

Best buy of the release in march 2005 according to DL.

Youthfully reserved but catches the wonderful pure blackberry , lavender , cedar, and incense like spice. Also has the taut , tannic edge of the grape , but it is very generous, sweetish, and warm at the same time. Great fruit licorice and cedar on the finish with excellent to outstanding length.
