100% syrah, from an excellent vintage. This wine is no blockbuster, but impresses with its complex mix of blackberry fruit, smoke, olives, dried meat flavours. A very fine expression of syrah, of Hermitage. At 13 years of age, tannin has become very smooth. Long finish. At its peak now I would say, but should hold for at least a few more years.
