Pineapple, pear and nuttiness on the nose. On the palate is a well balanced wine with fruit, oak and texture and some nice acid to keep it fresh. A nice long finish.

I picked this one up to give a new perspective on Aussie chard and I wasn't disappointed. Deep lemon colour in the glass, this one had quite an intense nose of ripe citrus and apple notes, sesame, and a lot of smoke and minerality (it needed 30 mins to open up). On the palate, it was medium-full bodied with medium+ acidity, which keeps things refreshing. The flavours replay, though the citrus comes through a bit more. It had a nice long finish on it. Very impressive! Tasted December 2013.

Light straw colour. Toasty, smoky aromas with mineral oil and slightly burnt popcorn. On the palate this cool climate chard has some heat, lemony citrus flavours with more toasty notes, nutty brulee, a hint of earthiness and juicy acidity. With all it's depth and complexity there's a sense of finesse, almost restraint. Very well done, particularly at the bin end sale price. Would be a fine accompaniment for roasted nuts and smoked cheese nibbles. Feb. 2014.

A very nice Australian chardonnay. A good amount of toasted oak on the palate which combines nicely with flavours of peaches and and hazelnuts. Interesting minerality. Excellent finish. Tasted December 2012.
