Sept 2012. Bought this in the excitement of Clos Jordanne's inaugural vintage. First wiff alerts you to the size of this wine -- glycerol is immediately obvious, bringing to mind Cal PN. Quick check of the bottle reveals why -- 14.8% alcohol, certainly impressive for an Ontario PN, but not really my style. Auromatically very complex, and super ripe fruit. Spicy, earthy notes balance the red berry frut nicely. Very long and deep, and lively. Suprisingly food friendly. Overall very impressive, but my personal preference would be for the alcohol to be toned down.
