It's only wine but I like it
Pours a very deep purple, throwing quite alot of sediment. Not a blockbuster despite the favourable vintage conditions, this St. Emilion is medium-bodied with notes of juicy red fruit, some tartness and finishing with noted acidity and tannin. Oak is well in the background. A good food wine given the high acidity, almost akin to a Sangiovese. Despite being very well made, this wine left me a bit cold. Perhaps another 3 years in bottle might help. Tasted Sept 2013.
