Vin Santo, the holy wine. This sweet wine from Tuscany is made from dried (usually) white grapes. It is a deep gold in colour, with pronounced notes of apricots, dried fruit and almonds. At 10 years of age, this wine is still fresh and vibrant, with a long finish. Simply delicious! Drink now or hold for a few more years I should think. Tasted Dec 2011.
