This is a very typical, soft, plummy/licoricy 2009 Rhone red with ample fruit, richness, softness and alcohol. Fairly...

When I opened this bottle aromas of fresh red berries exploded out of bottle. I wasn’t let down when I tasted this wine.

Fruit forward notes of blackberry and black raspberry, add vanilla and spice flavours for complexity. Juicy acidity and velvety tannins in balance. This is a BBQ wine for sure!

This wine sits dark ruby in the glass with a tinge of purple. Red fruits and pepper on the nose. The spicy peppery syrah elbows the grenache out of the way on the first sip, but after a half hour of decanting, red fruit starts to reveal itself. Tannins soften a little too from initial vice grip. Not an overly long finish with alcohol heat as the last note of a somewhat pitchy melody. Tasted March 2013.
