The 2006 Veneroso offers up black cherries, flowers, spices and minerals in a fresh, vibrant style, showing notable clarity and precision. Notes of smoke and tar come to life on the finish as this medium-bodied red opens up in the glass. Today the tannins are rather firm but another year or so in bottle should do the trick.
