This is a blend of garnacha, cariñena, tempranillo, cabernet and merlot grown on terraces the winemaker describes as 'Paleozoic meteorized granite with scarce organic material.' Together, the varieties create a sense of abundant, tart black fruit, even a little sweetness, but the central impression is the earthiness, the stoniness that gives it a firm, muscular structure.
