The 2006 Astrales, 100% Tinto Fino [Tempranillo], was naturally fermented and aged for 17 months in 30% new French and American oak. It offers an enticing bouquet of wood smoke, cedar, pencil lead, incense, and black cherry. This leads to a concentrated, well-balanced, structured wine with plenty of savory, spicy fruit and a lengthy finish.
