The 2006 Santbru is 65% Carinena, 29% Garnacha, and 15% Syrah aged 14 months in 80% new French oak. It delivers an expressive nose of underbrush, mineral, lavender, black cherry, and wild blueberry. Layered, bordering on opulent, this concentrated, dense, youthful effort will benefit from 3-5 years in the cellar. Its drinking window will extend from 2013 to 2026. Score - 93.
