The Amarone Villa Rizzardi Riserva '15 debuted with a bang, offering up deep aromas, where fruit comes across as quite ripe, meeting notes of spices, undergrowth and licorice. The change of pace, however, is discernible in the mouth, where the fullness of the palate resolves around smooth tannins and acidity, gaining tension and supplesness right up through a warm, long finish.
