This too is quite ripe but retains a real sense of freshness and vivacity on the red currant and blue berry nose liberally laced with ample earth influence that also characterizes the rich and beautifully focused flavors that display fine detail and length. The complexity is impressive and while the structural elements are not as refined as those of the Clos St. Jean, the extra depth propels this to the next level. Outstanding. Drink 2012. Score - 90.
