90 points Wine Enthusiast, 2018.
"...Touches of bitter coffee come from the 15 months in wood, but the main thrust of this developing wine is the ripe black-currant fruitiness…"
PREVIOUS TWO RELEASES SOLD SUPER-FAST AT THE LCBO
The non-use of chemicals goes back to 1947. The soils have never been treated with herbicides or insecticides. 40 y.o. vines.
Ageing of the wine is done in the cellar of Château Beauséjour in French oak barrels for over 12 months and then in the bottle.
Serve at 17°C with spiced and roasted red meat, vegetable dishes with mushrooms and young/soft cheeses.
