Quite a big, ripe Languedoc red here from the Le Clape area. Weighs in at 15% abv, with ripe herbal and black pepper infused dark berry fruit. Yet, to my taste, it wears the alcohol quite well, only showing a bit of heat on the finish and, amazingly, is quite fresh tasting. At $22, this is very good value. Tasted April 2019.
