I’ve had this wine in my cellar since August 2008 and I think this is the best wine for day to day consumption – hence I bought cases and cases. The palate is dominated by currant, cherry, oak and vanilla. There are hints of smoke, pencil lead and it is smooth, silky, nicely aromatic and integrated. This wine can still evolve nicely for another 5 years. Tannins are refined, finish is medium to long and the body is medium. My impression: BEAUTIFUL and I am lucky that I still have quite a few in my cellar. Could easily cost more than $15. Unfortunately it is no longer sold, LCBO now has the 2006 reserva, which is quite nice (I still need to rate it). Reviewed Feb/10.

If you would like to see wines I recommend and that are still available at the LCBO, please visit this link (listed in my profile):
