This was a very pleasant surprise. Barbera (the few ones I had tasted) tended to be tart. However, this one has a welcoming fruit nose, a nice palate, and a dry finish, which combined subside the tart hints and make it a well balanced wine. It also has a very appealing dark purple colour.
