Steve (90): The 2012 is a classic McLaren Vale shiraz as is typical for this wine. It is elegant and pure with a perfumed nose and juicy fruity palate. The nose shows aromas of prune and blackberry fruit with subtle oak well integrated with some herbal and menthol notes. The palate is full-bodied but seems lighter due to the lemony acidity. Excellent length with a fine balance. Best 2014 to 2019 maybe longer. Try with confit de canard with a prune sauce. Last tasted August 2014 during WWAC14.
