David (89): This flirts with typical old Euro flaws of volatility and brettanomyces, but neither run rampant, leaving some bright curranty sangiovese and cabernet sauvignon fruit in place, and sharing the stage with reserved oak and vanillin. So it is quite complex, quite rich and smooth, with some sourness and meatiness on the palate. Tannins are fine, but substantial enough to firm and dry the finish. The length is very good to excellent. I like the complexity and texture. Tasted October 2016
