David (89): This is a thoughtful, layered and complex Chianti from an excellent vintage. It is not a showboat, for now, but I would lay it away - as with many 2010s. There is a tightness to the weave that needs to unravel. Expect well integrated red fruit - raspberry, currant - with fine spice, vanillin and foresty earthiness. It's medium weight, even handed and dry with firm tannin and some minerality. Very good length and focus but wanted just a bit more for 90 points. Right in the good value zone. Best 2016 to 2020. Tasted June 2014.
