This is a delightfully fresh, medium-bodied blend of merlot, cabernet franc, and cabernet sauvignon. It offers aromas of raspberry, dark cherry, red currant, sage, and gentle hints of cocoa, cedar, nutmeg, and dusty leather. The palate is fresh and juicy, with bright fruit and savoury undertones, and then spicy black pepper and all-spice coming out on the finish. The alcohol is a bit warm right now, but this should dissipate with a year or so of ageing. Tasted May 2017.
