The Lugana DOC is found at the southern end of Italy's largest Lake - Lake Garda primarily in the Lombardia Region, with a slight intrusion into Veneto. Based on the Trebbiano di Lugana grape, this version offers pleasant white flower, hay and citrusy aromatics. On the palate, fruit starts out as melon and quickly morphs to citrus (lemon, lime), with a leesy feel, and an almond, anise and slight bitter finish. The acidity is vibrant and the length is very good. April 2017.
