From indigenous Saperavi grapes grown in Mukuzani Micro-Zone, Gurdjaani area, Kakheti region, Georgia (Black Sea region). Aged in Caucasian oak >1 year. Mukuzani is “the Prince of Georgian wines”, most valued dry red from Georgia.
Mukuzani Micro-Zone (Controlled Place of Origin), located in the heart of Kakheti, on the right bank of River Alazani in Gurjaani district. Elevation 400-700m. Moderately humid hot summers and cold winters. Carbonate soils.
