Not far from the village of Toulouse are the terraced vineyards of the Fronton appellation. This region features a rare grape variety by the name of Négrette which has made itself at home in the quartz-gravel soils here. Négrette is low in acidity and tannins, and is notable for its lovely aromas of violets and berries, plus its delicate, supple character.
