Florals rarely gain such height in Verona, save for a Saturday flower market. This hyperbole of fruit, wood and spice...

It's only wine but I like it

A solid red, with very ripe slightly raisined fruit (semi-appassimento wine-making). Good depth and length and perhaps a tad more residual sugar than necessary, but not cloying. A commercial wine to some extent but enjoyable anyway. Picked up on sale a few months ago at a more reasonable $18 and change, now being re-released in the May 28 for $25, which is much too much $. Tasted May 2016.
