Medium-deep gold in colour, this Grand Cru Classe Sauternes is just starting to show its age, after a decade-plus in bottle.

Wonderfully expressive nose of marmalade, honeycomb, lemon tart, and crisp baguette.

On the palate, sweetness perfectly in check by acid, and the finish is long and supple. Honey, marzipan, peach, hint of fig & allspice. Many layers.

A fantastic Sauternes - easily could cellar a decade or two longer.
