A very lush, smooth Pinot with pronounced darrk cherry fruit, balanced acidity and integrated tannin. Fruity, with an earthy/savoury and peppery element toward the mid and late palate. Excellent length. July 2014.

Cherry, plum and earthy, peppery spice grace this wine with a beautifully subtle and layered complexity, all over a racy backbone of acidity, astringency and soft tannins. Gorgeous mouthfeel, long finish with such great contrast between the flavour and "angular" (to borrow from the apt review above) bitterness. Loved this wine.

Lovely fruit and spices on the nose and palate with a nice long finish. Well balanced.

Lots of "Pinot Personality" beaming out of the Bel Echo. After decanting for an hour, the heat blows off and the flavours develop nicely. Interesting notes of ripe cherry, smoked meat, viola petals, camp fire, sugar plums and spice. Pretty awesome for the price!

This pinot walks a fine line between new and old world. Riper than most Burgundian pinot, with bright ripe red cherry and cranberry notes, backed by hints of smokiness. There is even a hint of sweetness, but it is all balanced by fine acidity, a good structure and an earthiness common to a red Burg. Fine depth and complexity here. This represents very good value for the quality delivered. Amazingly, there is still a good amount available at several Vintages as of Nov 1 2014.

Last bottle of several, and still going strong. Spot on nose of red berries; full and enticing. Similar bright fruit flavours, but some earthy complexity is starting to emerge as well. Nice bright acids. Some serious PN for $23. Methinks we won't be seeing that kind of bargain around any more.
