This light to medium bodied pale Pinot sourced from 3 of Keint-He's PEC vineyards offers a lifted nose of cherry and red berries. The palate is smooth with more cherry, berry and rhubarb flavours. Focussed fruit, mild tannins, balanced acidity, excellent length make for a lovely finessed wine. Drinking nicely now but could cellar short term. July 2014.
The 2012 Keint-He Portage Pinot Noir, sourced from three PEC vineyards (Closson, Benway and Foxtail) that was subsequently aged in French oak for 12 months before blending together, has alluring aromas of clove, spice and anise on the nose and strawberry and raspberry on the palate. It is a light to medium bodied, extra-dry, fruity wine; BALANCED with refreshing acidity, subtle tannins and a long finish. Sip this one on-its-own; drink now 2018+ (cork enclosure). My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 90-91 pts – recommended for its quality and value. Tasted at 'County in the City' event http://grapeselections.com/county-in-the-city-2014/ in Apr/14.

Low intensity aromatics with smoky, beetroot, cherry aromas that show through nicely on the palate. It's light-weighted with bright acids. Taut tannins will reward with 3-4 years cellar time, but enjoyable now. Easy drinking with a medium-length finish that is a touch hot & spicy. Tasted Apr/2014.

Pale shimmering ruby. Classic PN nose of fresh strawberries and red candy. Really quite good body, with savoury flavours and a nice streak of acidity. Red fruit reappears as well. A well-made cool-climate PN, albeit lighter in style.
