I bought this buy mistake as the packaging is identical to the more popular Malbec. I was pleasantly surprised. If found this to be a very rich Merlot. This is an excellent wine and you cannot beat the price.
Ok for the price it is quite good and doesn't give me gut rot. If you are short on cash and want something decent then pick this up over the over rated Fusion, also from Argentina. If you actually want something to savor you will have to let more moths out of your wallet.

An utterly average, generic, Merlot.
Typical round Merlot mouth-feel and medium-full bodied. Decent acidity and perhaps slightly hot (which makes this an ok food wine). Some muted fruit. Blackberries, a touch of anise. Medium-fine leathery tannins which did not soften much the following day, if anything the wine became increasingly astringent.
Perfectly quaffable, to be sure, but identifiably a 12 dollar Merlot.
Fine to crack open for the masses when they stop by but not one I would buy again for myself.
In this range I think Cono Sur's Merlot is both cheaper and better.
Tasted the 2007 Vintage.
April, 2010.
Received this as a gift and was pleasantly surprised.
Nose is a bit strange, with a lot of green. Taste makes up for this in a big way.
Nice balance with just enough acidity. Tastes that I noted were plums, tobacco, earth, and oak.
Finish was a little hot on the finish. (It's 14% alc. / vol.
