Cherry, floral, spice

Tried the 2008 tonight(with Gnocchi and Gorganzola cream sauce) and was VERY disappointed. Fruit was light, wine was flabby, even in the glass as an aperitif before the meal. Don't think I tasted the 2007, but have had this many , many times in the past. I bought three, and am returning two!
