Wolf Blass Black Label Shiraz/Cabernet Sauvignon/Malbec 2004, South Australia, 32nd Vintage
Cabernet/Shiraz

Australia
$99.95 (960468)
Wolf Blass' Black Label is amongst Australia's most admired wines. Since the 1998 vintage (the year it won the Jimmy Watson Award, the most prestigious award in Aussie winedom), this wine has consistently scored in the 90s in both the Wine Spectator and James Halliday's Australian Wine Companion.
TASTING NOTE: ... the throbbing power of an idling V8 turbo engine; shows the '04 vintage quality, with an array of black fruits of considerable intensity; will be very long-lived, of course. Score - 96. (James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion, March 2007)

The Black Label Cabernet/Shiraz/Malbec 2005 was medium bodied with elegant, integrated aromas of raspberry, black currant and cedar/pine. The acidity was nicely balanced, tannins were refined (decant for 1 hr or more) and the finish was nice and long. Good to drink now, aging may impede its quality. My impression: BEAUTIFUL, 90 pts. Tasted June23/10 at Wine Align Wolf Blass Premium Wine Tasting event.
