This is a refined, cohesive and quite delicious Chateauneuf but it needs another three years to really show its charms. The nose is even and complex with lovely floral, plummy fruit well accented with anise, pepper and background oak spice. It's medium-full bodied, nicely smooth and almost silky but the tannin needs time – about two to three years. Excellent length. Score: 91 (David Lawrason, WineAlign.com, Feb 2013)
