Absolutely gorgeous Amarone that offers complex aromas of cherry, pomegranate syrup, chocolate and spice cake. Plush, full bodied and mouthfilling with gobs of rich fruit and spice, and pinpoint balance. A delight to drink. Sip this all on its own after a fine meal, or pair with a selection of aged cheeses, or herbed lamb stew with raisins. (VINTAGES panel, Nov. 2012)
