...It has a fabulous nose that swirls with edgy currant-berry fruit, pepper, vanilla and gentle smoke. It’s full bodied, dense and elegant, not thick, with an amazing, firm mid-palate and a core of energy that makes it behave like a great northern Rhone on the finish. The length is excellent to outstanding length. It is approachable now, and you will want to try this, but age other bottles through most of this decade, perhaps beyond.
