This is the only sparkler made on Waiheke, a 100% chardonnay blanc de blanc that pours with yellw-gold colour. The nose very ripe peach-apricot which is unusual for sparkling wine. There is some sponge toffee as well, with a hint of VA in the background. It comes on heavy but the acidity is very good (from a higher altitude site) bringing some freshness to the finish.
