Baronia Cims Del Montsant 2010, Do Montsant
Note the Catalan spelling of the grape varieties on the back label - garnatxa and carinyena. Great value here from one of my favourite “little” Spanish appellations. This is mid-weight, quite polished, juicy and fruit driven red with all kinds of florality, very ripe, almost overripe plummy fruit and a bit oak from five months in barrel. There is a pleasant creaminess on the palate, with a warm, buzzy but not boozy finish. The length is very good. Best now to 2016. Score: 89 (David Lawrason, www.WineAlign.com, Jan 2013)

Delicious blend of Garnacha and Carmenere. Give it 20 minutes in the fridge and you'll be rewarded. Ripe, juicy, fruit-forward wine. Probably won't age well, but after you crack one bottle, the rest won't be safe for long anyway!
