Roche De Bellene Vieilles Vignes Bourgogne Chardonnay 2010, Ac
This engaging, well structured, lighter chardonnay has a very pretty, fresh, ripe nose of yellow apple skin, butternut squash and fresh herbs. Its medium weight, quite smooth and fleshy with a sense of warmth and freshness. Oak ageing is subtly handled. I like the structure. Excellent length. Don’t over chill, and enjoy over the next two years. Score: 89 (David Lawrason, www.WineAlign.com, Jan 2013)

This one is another extremely enjoyable wine from this producer, but it's not a stunner. There's lots of ripe apple and pear notes on the nose, along with some citrus and smoky, spicy notes. On the palate, it's medium bodied with lovely acidity and good minerality and a medium length finish. While the complexity isn't great, it's an excellent value, particularly for lovers of Burgundian Chardonnay. Grab a couple if you can. Tasted August 2013.
