Captivatingly complex! I wish I had bought more of this. My wife and I sipped at it slowly all night. The colour is medium cherry color with purple hue - seems lighter than the blackened cork end would have you believe. On the nose are unusual sweet berry notes of boysenberry and Saskatoon berry with hints of candied cassis and blueberry. Lighter notes depict cedar, menthol smoked meat, and sweet spice. The palate is just as complex. The wine is much drier than the nose would have you believe, with bold dark fruit, sweet spice, and earthiness.Well integrated tannins.
