Maison Roche De Bellene Vieilles Vignes Volnay 2010, Ac
Pinot Noir
Burgundy, France
$29.75 (299875)
Made from vines that are an impressive 48-62 years old, this shows the delicate fruit and perfumed floral character for which red Volnay is prized, along with an unmistakable depth afforded by the old vines. Pretty floral notes lead the way for waves of black cherry and berry fruit, all echoing beautifully on the palate within a mediumfull-bodied framework and surrounded by caressing tannins. Enjoy over the next 5+ years with braised lamb or venison. (VINTAGES panel, May 2012)Critic Reviews (3)
