No matter how you slice it, this a great buy for $15. It has cool, reserved but very ripe and rich nose of...

Big Inchiri
Quite full and chewy

Quite frankly, exceeded my expectations for an inexpensive petit Verdot

Not bad, not great, but at $15 it's hard to complain. Big and ripe with flavours of blueberry and blackberry jam, baking spice, and chocolate. Also quite smokey/meaty. On the palate, it's full bodied with quite grippy tannins, bright acidity, and a medium length finish. Good value. Tasted October 2012

A meaty, smokey, jammy wine, but rather tannic and acidic at the same time. Perhaps if this was put away over the short term it will calm down.

Tasted October, 2012.

Medium plus intense ruby colour. Moderate expression of dried berries, smoke and tea. Medium minus body, not in relation to the 14% alcohol. Good balance and length.

Not exactly what I expected from a Petit Verdot, but a good wine nonetheless.
